Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a model whereby consumers buy shares of a farm’s harvest in advance. Consumers become CSA members by paying an agreed upon amount at the beginning of the growing season.
This upfront payment helps buy the seed and other inputs needed for the season and provides the farmer an immediate income to begin the season. By paying at the beginning of the season, CSA members share in the risk of production and relieve the farmer of much of the time needed for marketing. This allows the farmer to concentrate on good land stewardship and growing high quality food.
In return for their membership fee, members eat healthy, sustainably produced food and have the satisfaction of knowing where it came from and how it was grown.

Vegetable Shares are available for 18 weeks from June-October. Members can expect a variety of in-season vegetables, 6-10 items per box depending on your share size.
For shipping: vegetables are delivered in a box, using sustainable materials to keep them cool and fresh.
For pickup: Please, bring a tote bag to collect your share. We will have CSA totes for sale at pick-up.

Bell & Walhalla have partnered with several non-profit organizations in NYC and Schoharie County.
Through our partnerships, we are supporting our communities through art and agriculture.
When you become a CSA member by purchasing a share, you will be asked to select a Farm Partner or School Share. Bell & Walhalla will make a donation to your selected Partner.
Donations equal 5% of the revenue from your share.

Help Bell & Walhalla Farm bring fresh produce to kids in Brooklyn. When you miss a pick-up, we will donate your share to a daycare in Brooklyn.
Access to healthy food is a basic human need. Help us reach those who need it the most.
Community Supported Agriculture helps keep small farms thriving. Small farms are better for our environment and make for a healthier and more diverse food system. Bell Farm and Walhalla Farm have partnered to bring the amazing food diversity of upstate New York’s richest agricultural valley in Schoharie County to CSA share members in NYC. We’re thrilled to welcome our NYC neighbors to become a part of our farming community. Our seasonal shares run for 18 weeks from June-October.
By paying at the beginning of the season, CSA members share in the risk of production. This allows the farmer to concentrate on good land stewardship and growing high quality food. We do not provide monetary refunds, but if something happens to your share i.e. it’s lost in delivery, we will send an extra share to replace it.
